Call for Volunteers – Recovery Mission

Recently, Operatives were able to locate one of our missing artifacts. It seems to have been sold to Cyril Saxton, who is believed to be a citizen of Ardeyn. The artifact in question is a Gate Ring, which has been allowing him to move into a specific recursion at will. However, the data on what that recursion is, and what it contains was stolen along with the artifact.      The Estate is asking for volunteers to follow Saxton into the recursion the next time he uses the ring, and find as much information as possible. They are also required to capture and question Cyril Saxton for other information regarding how he acquired our artifact. Chances are he is an unfortunate innocent rather than the original thief, and so Operatives are expected to act professionally.      Any Operatives interested in volunteering should fill out the corresponding paperwork in the Estate Campus Briefing Offices, or speak to their superior officer. ~The Estate Briefing...

MISSING – ESTATE OPERATIVES

Estate Operatives Roland Hart and Edna Kenny have been MIA for a week now. If any operatives have been contacted by either of them in the past few days, the Estate would like you to report the conversation to your supervising officer.      They were last heard from on their way to Nebraska to examine a possibly quickened kid. As you know, Operatives who do this often do so under the guise of a Morrison Fellowship Prize Evaluation Team, so to not alert suspicion from the public. We are currently in the process of putting together a second undercover covert Prize Evaluation Team in the hopes that they will be able to locate the missing operatives, and evaluate the subject.      Any information that an operative may have concerning the most recent statuses of Operative Hart and Operative Kenny would be beneficial. Likewise, if you wish to volunteer for the second team, please fill out the forms that can be found in the briefing offices on campus. ~ Lisa Banks, PR...

Strange Happenings in Australia

Recently there has been an increase of strange behavior in Australian wildlife. This has been brought to our attention due to reports of carnivorous kangaroo that are forgoing their normal diet in favor of birds and other small beasts. The Estate has been able to quell the majority of public fear by explaining the issue as genetic residue from the kangaroo’s carnivorous ancestors, the Propleopus oscillans, or as a possible side effect of global warming.      However, the reality of the situation is more dire. The Estate believes that the September Project might be experimenting with an aboriginal recursion somewhere in the outback. There is a high chance that they have opened an inapposite gate, and the other recursion is seeping into the Earth, thus changing the wildlife’s behavior. If there is a gate, it must be found and closed immediately.      Other disturbances that have been reported in or around the area include; dingoes killing and eating sharks, snakes bursting from swallowing prey larger than they can handle, and the reappearance of dropbears (which the Estate had just finished eradicating after the last Open Gate incident in Australia).      All Operatives currently in Australia are asked to report to their superior officer for briefing. Closing the gate is a first priority mission for those in the area. ~The Estate Briefing...

Call for Volunteers – Reconnaissance Mission

The Recursion Lab is currently looking for volunteers on a routine reconnaissance mission to a newly discovered recursion. The recursion in question is believed to work under the laws of Magic. Operatives will examine flora and fauna in the region, scope out the area, and make peaceful contact with any intelligent species that they might meet, if possible. We don’t expect any serious issues to arise during the duration, but operatives are asked to proceed with caution because of the lack of information.       The Operatives will be tasked with finding the origin of the recursion, and providing a short written report on the usefulness of the recursion. Volunteers are asked to fill out the corresponding paperwork in the briefing offices to apply. ~ The Estate, Recursion...

Arsonists Escape

Yesterday, in what was believed to be a violent protest lead by a small group of Butterfly Objectors, one of our secure caches was torched. Many cyphers and two artifacts are currently unaccounted for. No one was seriously injured in the attack, but the arsonists have eluded our security. It seems that the perpetrators may have had access to classified information, leading us to believe that at least one of them was or currently is an Estate Operative. If any operatives have seen anything or heard anything regarding the arson, please report it to your superior officer for the safety of those around you.      On another note, if any operatives know of someone who is experiencing anxieties concerning Translating or are themselves experiencing such anxieties, please report to counseling. We will help you in any way we can. Violence however, will not be tolerated. ~ Estate Security and...
